Legislative Branch Resources 101
Title: Legislative Branch Resources 101
- Christopher Brown, Reference Librarian and Coordinator of Government Documents, University of Denver, Main Library
Whether you are an accidental Government information librarian, a library staff member tasked with providing information to your community, or a seasoned librarian, an introduction to (or refresher in) congressional information can be helpful. This presentation surveys the major congressional publications, what their functions are, and where they can be found. Emphasis is placed on govinfo.gov. Additional sources will include the U.S. Code on the House Law Revision Counsel site, HathiTrust, and commercial sources where relevant.
