Description

This working group was established by GPO Director Hugh N. Halpern in June 2021 to “examine the practices, policies, and procedures enacted by FDLs since March 2020 as they adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic.” Join working group members as they present initial findings of their ongoing data collection and analysis project. Using data from the 2021 Biennial Survey of Federal Depository Libraries, they seek to determine how FDLs adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically through the adoption and repeal of new policies and practices relating to:

  • Public access
  • Staffing
  • Collection maintenance
  • FDLP item selections
  • Educational services
  • Reference services
  • Outreach services
  • Processing
