In early 2020, the Microforms and Government Information Unit within the Penn State University Libraries began a project entitled, "Documents in the News." Documents in the News aims to highlight the use of Government information in the news and media, curating news articles that cite or use Government information on a weekly basis. It is not an attempt to be comprehensive, but a place to foster discovery and access to Government information and to highlight how that information is used in the research process. Documents in the News is also a teaching tool to introduce the research process, foster discovery of Government information, and introduce students to databases and news sources. This presentation will discuss the initial idea and planning process, staff training and professional development, the evolution of search processes, our remote pivot advantage, and workflow established to deliver the content for guide publishing.
