Eat Your Veggies: Sneaking Government Documents into Popular Library Programs

Title: Eat Your Veggies: Sneaking Government Documents into Popular Library Programs

Speakers:

  • Sarah Dobransky, Government Documents Supervisor, Cleveland Public Library
  • Olivia Hoge, Manager – Center for Local and Global History, Cleveland Public Library

Description:

As one of the smallest (and most diverse) departments in a large public library, Government Documents often has to come up with unique ways to offer public programming that isn’t ‘boring.’ We’ve teamed up with other departments, gotten a little creative with our outreach, and found ways to make Government documents fun. Viewers will hear about some successful programs that highlight our collection and learn about free resources that are surprisingly popular and how you can integrate them into just about any library function.
