Depository Promotion

Any activity that increases the visibility of the depository, its resources and its services is encouraged. Depository promotion needs to extend to all potential user groups. This includes library staff, primary clientele, and citizens of the U.S. Congressional district or relevant region. Public service begins with public awareness.


The FDLP Marketing Plan is designed to empower Federal depository libraries with the tools they need to market their valuable services to all audiences in the most effective way possible.


Relaunched in 2018 - Promote your Federal depository library with these digital marketing tools. Various promotional images and graphics are available in a variety of formats and are optimized for print or electronic use. Use them on your website, computer monitors, multimedia displays, for social media, and in printed educational and promotional materials. Two 28-second FDLP audio public service announcements are also included for distribution to local radio stations and for use at your college or university.
