Join the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) and the Depository Library Council for the largest annual gathering of Federal depository librarians and colleagues in the country. Two and a half days of knowledge, information-sharing, and enrichment await you.

During this free event:

  • Participate in collaborative, informative, and interactive sessions presented by the DLC, GPO, other Federal agencies, and depository library staff.
  • Network with GPO staff and fellow depository librarians from across the Nation.
  • Explore interesting posters, and interact with their creators.
  • Learn about field-related tools and resources through interactive demonstrations at our vendor tables.
  • Enjoy remarks from GPO’s Director and Superintendent of Documents.
  • Take part in our FDLP social media photo booth.

Reserve your room today at the event venue for the discounted rate of $250.00 per night (single or double), plus 13.25% tax*. The DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton is conveniently located within three blocks of the Pentagon City Metro Station. WiFi is available throughout the hotel, including session rooms.

*Rates are subject to change based on fluctuations in the Federal Government travel per diem rate. Registrants will be charged the prevailing Government rate at the time of the conference, regardless of the date of their registration. New rates for 2018 – 2019 will be announced in August 2018, and this rate will be updated at that time.

Interested in participating as a presenter? Read our Presenter Information Sheet for access to information about event attendees, the various ways you can participate as a presenter, and presenter logistics.

Submit an educational program proposal.

Do you have specialized knowledge or expertise to share related to your depository’s collections or services? How about innovations in your library? Is your library transforming your Federal depository operations? Do you have best practices to share that would be beneficial to the FDLP community? Consider presenting an educational program. Presentations can cover introductory to advanced information on topics related to U.S. Government information resources and librarianship. Educational programs run for 50 minutes. Submit your proposal.

The deadline for program proposals is September 12, 2018.

Submit a poster proposal.

Event attendees are invited to present a poster on your activities, services, or resources related to the FDLP. Informational and educational posters will be on display during the FDL Conference, and there will be a poster session where you can present your information to other attendees on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Submit your proposal.

The deadline for poster proposals is September 12, 2018.

Submit a vendor proposal.

Demonstrate, display, and promote products, resources, tools, and services to conference attendees. Each vendor will have access to a display table and wireless Internet connection. The vendor area is located in the main ballroom where attendees participate in coffee breaks and networking activities. Submit your proposal.

The deadline for vendor proposals is September 12, 2018.
