For the last decade, digital humanities has been touted as the next greatest thing, and there has been much discourse on its connection to libraries. Digital Humanities departments and centers have popped up in various libraries and research institutions, and librarians are clamoring to get involved. In all this activity, a voice is missing, and that voice is Government information. This presentation will be a discussion session on the meaningfulness of the digital humanities to Government information professionals and collections. Audience participation is welcomed, and topics to be examined, among others, are: what is the Digital Humanities; where are and how to make tools more discoverable for those who need them, as documents librarians how to engage those interested in the digital humanities; and how can documents collections be integrated into digital humanities projects.
