You are invited to an educational webinar entitled “Using Metadata to Navigate GPO's Federal Digital System (FDsys).” Join the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 2:00 pm (Eastern Time) for a 30-minute course on utilizing FDsys metadata to create complex searches and retrieve specialized and precise search results. Metadata is structured information that describes, explains, locates, or otherwise aids in retrieving content in FDsys. Metadata describes how, when, and by whom content was collected, what the content is, where it resides, and how it was formatted. Participants will learn how to search FDsys using metadata field operators, category field operators, and more.

If you would like multiple staff members to view the webinar, GPO suggests setting up in a meeting room equipped with computer projection capability.

The webinar is free, but registration is required, so be sure to register soon. Once completed, you will receive an email confirmation, which will include instructions for joining the webinar.

Remember, anyone can view past FDsys webinars at anytime online.
