U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) staff are grateful to over 500 FDLP librarians who have already completed FDLP Library and State Forecast questionnaires. Your responses will help us shape the future direction of the Federal Depository Library Program, and provide a roadmap to strengthen the program, reflecting changes brought about by digital technologies.

There are less than five weeks left to respond to the FDLP Library and State Forecast questionnaires. FDLP Library and State Forecast questionnaires are due by June 30 and we need to hear from everyone! Submitting questionnaires by June 30 will allow our staff to fully incorporate your responses into the final analysis. These and the forecast responses will also allow us to develop programming for the Depository Library Council Meeting and Federal Depository Library Conference, October 15-18, 2012.

Many state level organizations have indicated that completing the State Focused Action Plans by the end of June will be difficult. Therefore, Superintendent of Documents Mary Alice Baish, in consultation with the Depository Library Council, has agreed to extend the deadline for submission on the State Focused Action Plans to August 31.

To those needing additional support, the FDLP Forecast Team can assist. We have already conducted more than 30 virtual meetings assisting states and sessions have been very productive. If you would like to participate in a virtual meeting on the FDLP state questionnaires, of the State Action Plan, please contact the FDLP Forecast Team through askGPO.
