The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) has had a rich tradition of honoring a depository library each year that goes above and beyond to ensure that the American public has free access to its Government's information with the Federal Depository Library of the Year Award.

In October, the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) will honor, for the first time, TWO Federal Depository Libraries of the Year, one regional and one selective, as both types of libraries offer such unique and essential services.

Support and pay tribute to your dedicated FDLP colleagues by submitting your nominations for the 2012 Federal Depository Libraries of the Year.

Nominated libraries should demonstrate creativity and innovation in developing specific community programs for use of Federal Government information or cause a dramatic increase in their community's usage of this valuable resource.

The 2012 Federal Depository Libraries of the Year will be celebrated at the Depository Library Council Meeting & Federal Depository Library Conference on October 15, 2012.
