FDLP

Official Communication of the FDLP

Communication between GPO and Federal depository libraries is essential. Various information resources and contact methods are available.

 News & Events

News & Events is the official communication channel for GPO to notify depository library staff of FDLP news, webinars, and other depository related information. News & Events replaced the FDLP-L Listserv in 2012.

One person at each depository library is required to be signed up to News & Events. The depository coordinator is typically that person, but more than one person can sign up to receive these messages. Some are more than just informational and may call for your response, such as a requirement to submit the Biennial Survey of Depository Libraries.

There is an archive of past News & Events; however, it is not complete as time sensitive announcements are removed.

Sign up for email or RSS of News & Events.

Historical Communication

Administrative Notes (AdNotes) (1980-2009)

From 1980 to December 2009, the Administrative Notes newsletter served to inform the Federal depository library community about policies, procedures, and news relating to the Federal Depository Library Program. The online archive goes back to 1996; earlier copies may be found at depository libraries.

Administrative Notes Technical Supplement (ANTS)

Another earlier newsletter, this resource provided classification, cataloging, and item number updates as well as depository designation information. View online issues back to 1996. ANTS is the precursor to WebTech Notes.
