Depository Library Council Recommendations & Working Group Request

At the conclusion of the fall 2021 Federal Depository Library Conference, the Depository Library Council (DLC) began developing formal recommendations and commendations for the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO). On December 10, 2021, one recommendation and one commendation were presented to GPO and are currently under review. Formal GPO responses will be drafted and shared with the FDLP community in the near future.

In conjunction with the recommendation and commendation, the DLC sent a formal request to Director Halpern to approve the creation of a working group to explore the needs, challenges, and solutions related to Tribal, Historically Black College and University, small, and other Federal depository libraries which have unique challenges or primarily serve underserved populations.
