  • Learning Outcomes: The Virginia-North Carolina Shared Regional Depository was established in October 2019 as an agreement between the University of Virginia Libraries and the University Libraries at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Have these libraries pitched half of their tangible collections? No. Have they made some tweaks to collections and retention decisions with an eye toward sustainability? Yes. In this program, the regional librarians for Virginia and North Carolina will discuss what their shared regional really looks like so far, how they hope to grow the collaboration, and how they coordinate when a library user needs something held by the other institution.
