The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) welcomes Fort Stockton Public Library of Fort Stockton, TX in GPO’s Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). Congressman Will Hurd designates the library into the program. As a member of the FDLP, the library will provide the more than 12,000 Fort Stockton residents free access to Federal Government information in both digital and print formats.

“GPO welcomes Fort Stockton Public Library into this program that serves as a link between the Federal Government and its citizens,” said GPO Director Davita Vance-Cooks. “Libraries have been and remain a key partner in providing the American public access to information on the three branches of our Government on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and in print.”

“We are excited about being designated as a Federal depository library. To date, the closest depository library is over 300 miles away in San Antonio, Texas. The library is situated at an easily accessible location between major transportation routes and is freely accessible to the general public. The designation of the Fort Stockton Public Library is filling a void in District 23 and will provide a high level of public service to our community and the surrounding area,” said Library Director Elva N. Valadez.
