Distribution of Tangible Shipping Lists to Libraries

Recently, a Federal Depository Library coordinator was informed that GPO, Library Services and Content Management (LSCM) had ceased distributing tangible copies of shipping lists in depository shipping boxes. This information was incorrect. LSCM continues to provide all libraries in the FDLP with tangible copies of every shipping list, even if there are no titles accompanying a specific shipping list.  Also, for the convenience of our libraries, all shipping lists are posted on the FDLP.gov Web site, should libraries choose to download them. LSCM is investigating options for the delivery of shipment information  to libraries in an effort to “go green” and reduce costs associated with depository shipments. However, before changes are made, LSCM will solicit feedback from libraries. And, should a change occur, libraries will be provided with sufficient advance notice. If you are missing any shipping lists, please use askGPO to submit your request. And as always, we appreciate your patience and thank you for your continued support of the Federal Depository Library Program. If you need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us again.
