Regulation 13: Cataloging Current Tangible Receipts

The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) has written guidance for libraries needing more information about the new Regulation 13, which requires cataloging of new tangible receipts. As mentioned in the letter that accompanied the Legal Requirements and Program Regulations, we are currently redesigning the FDLP Desktop, which will include supplementary guidance for the regulations.

We are pleased that so many people have reached out to us with questions unique to their particular situation. We encourage you to continue to ask questions and we will update the guidance as needed. Your questions about the Legal Requirements and Program Regulations will help us improve the guidance provided for your library and all other depository libraries.

Recovering from a bone marrow transplant, he is working as an "on-call business librarian." His hope is to begin doing some volunteer work with Reigns of Life, a therapeutic riding program in South Bend, Indiana, and some traveling.
