1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (EDT)

This event is free of charge.

Join the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) and the Depository Library Council (DLC) for our annual spring Virtual Meeting.

Due to the continued affects and interruptions to regular library operations, staffing, and remote working conditions related to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the usual three-day spring event is being condensed into one afternoon that will focus on the critical issues and initiatives of the FDLP.

Previously-scheduled programs from the Spring Meeting will be presented as individual webinar events through the FDLP Academy throughout the summer.

During the revamped event, participants will:

  • Participate in informative and interactive meetings of the Depository Library Council.
  • Contribute to important discussions about free public access to U.S. Government information.
  • Network with GPO staff and fellow depository librarians from across the Nation.

Event highlights include:

  • Welcoming greetings and remarks by GPO Director Hugh Halpern, Superintendent of Documents Laurie Hall, and DLC Chair Mary Clark.
  • An Open Forum where you can contribute your thoughts and ideas to key issues being addressed by the DLC, including how your library has been affected by and how you and your staff are coping with COVID-19.
  • An update of DLC working group activities.

The staff at GPO and the DLC look forward to connecting with you and bringing this programming to your quarantined corner of the country.
