ALA 2012 Midwinter: FDLP State Forecast Project Overview Presentation

The American Library Association’s 2012 Midwinter conference provided an opportunity for Superintendent of Documents Mary Alice Baish and State Forecast Project Co-lead Cherie Givens to provide an overview of the State Forecasting Project to members of the community attending a joint Government Information Subcommittee/GODORT Legislation Committee meeting and the Federal Documents Task Force meeting. Cherie Givens explained the purpose and content of individual depository library and State Forecast questionnaires, as well as State Focused Action Plans. The importance of the project, how the information gathered in this study will be used, and how and when FDLP members can participate were also discussed. PowerPoint slides from the presentation default “Working Together for a Vibrant Future of the FDLP: FDLP State Forecasts and State Focused Action Plans” given at the Federal Documents Task Force meeting are now available on the FDLP,gov Web site.
