2014 Depository Library Council Virtual Meeting: Focusing on Service

The Depository Library Council held its inaugural virtual event, the 2014 Depository Library Council (DLC) Virtual Meeting on December 2-4, 2014.

The theme of this event is “Focusing on Service.” Designed to keep you thinking about your library patron needs, you’ll hear programs focusing on services at law libraries, tribal college libraries, libraries with large collections in closed stacks or offsite storage, and libraries primarily providing access to electronic formats. All these libraries share the goal of providing services supporting the visibility and use of Federal depository resources.

There were also GPO updates on the FDLP National Plan, technical services, technology, and the current draft of the FDLP ploicy plan related to regional depository collections.

The DLC, as part of its charge to advise the Director, Government Publishing Office (GPO) and the Superintendent of Documents, may develop recommendations for GPO at the end of the Virtual Meeting. DLC and GPO appreciate your active participation in this event as your feedback will help shape these recommendations.
