Webinar Rescheduled: Government Information Resources for Teaching English as a Second Language and Learning English as an Immigrant

Do you have speakers of other languages in your library? Do they want or need to learn English? Free resources from the U.S. Government will be presented and discussed. Included will be resources from Voice of America, the State Department, and the Department of Education. Some resources will be useful for teachers of English as a Second Language and others are designed for self-learning. Also included in the webinar will be resources from state agencies and non-profit organizations. The webinar will also cover the concept of English-only and the legality of English-only rules in the workplace. The rights and responsibilities of non-English speakers in the workforce will be briefly presented. Join us for an opportunity to help your immigrant and non-English speaking population.
