From August 22, 2017 2:00 pm EDT until August 22, 2017 3:00 pm EDT
Categories: Webinar

Do you have speakers of other languages in your library? Do they want or need to learn English? Then this is the webinar for you. We will present and discuss free resources from U.S. Government agencies like Voice of America, the State Department, and the Department of Education, as well as some state agencies and non-profit organizations. Some resources will be useful for teachers of English as a second language and others are designed for self-learning. The webinar will also cover the concept of English-only, the legality of English-only rules in the workplace, and the rights and responsibilities of non-English speakers in the workforce. Join us for an opportunity to help your non-English speaking population.
