Federal Depository Library Photos for the 2013 DLC Meeting and FDL Conference

A picture is worth a thousand words! Submit your photos of Federal depository librarians in action for a slide show at the 2013 Depository Library Council Meeting and Federal Depository Library Conference. Snap some photos today of your Federal depositories in action, capturing images of library staff showing the many different ways you provide access to and services for Federal depository information resources. The deadline is September 18th.

Use your imagination to document your depository in images. We’re looking forward to seeing your artistry. Be serious or humorous. Include library staff and library users or feature activities, collections, or facilities. Consider highlighting your library at different times during the day.

Here are just some ideas of photo subjects:

  • Teaching a class
  • Promoting the FDLP or Federal publications in your community
  • Serving at a public service desk
  • Working in the library’s technical services unit
  • Participating in activities at local or state government information library staff meetings

Any Federal depository library staff member may submit photos.

Gain permission from people in the shots and from your institution. Upon submission, you will certify that GPO has permission to use the photos.

If you previously shared photos on the FDLP Community site and wish to share these again for this slide show, please resubmit the photos for this project.
