Indianapolis

The mention of Indianapolis most likely conjures up images of fast cars racing around a track. It probably doesn’t produce visions of innovation in providing and preserving Government information – unless you are the Indiana State Library (ISL). ISL excels in providing and preserving Government information to the public. The Indiana Light Archive is a collaborative arrangement between ISL, Purdue, Indiana University-Bloomington, and Notre Dame, which together maintain a complete collection of Government documents and improve public access to it. The library also hosts Government Information Day, a conference that promotes Government information sources. The next one is in May 2020.

sandee mcaninch

Best wishes to long-time FDLP all-star, Sandee McAninch, on her retirement. From former DLC member to regional librarian for Georgia and Kentucky to her work with Kentucky Senator Wendell Ford’s office in developing the GPO Access Act of 1993, her contributions to the FDLP have been immense. Here, she is pictured with regional coordinator Amy Laub-Carroll at the University of Kentucky. Congrats, Sandee!
