The spring 2010 Depository Library Council meeting will be held in Buffalo NY, at the Adam’s Mark Hotel, ideally located at 120 Church Street, Buffalo, NY 14202.

The Council meeting is free and open to the public. The 15-member Depository Library Council discusses issues affecting the Federal Depository Library Program with Government Printing Office administrators and assists the GPO in identifying and evaluating alternatives for improving public access to government information. Registrants may attend Council sessions as well as educational programs running concurrently.

On-site registration, along with coffee with Council members, starts at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010. The Council meeting will begin with a GPO Update plenary session at 10:30 a.m. The meeting will conclude on Wednesday, April 28, 2010.

Advance registration is important to provide us the information necessary to ensure effective planning to make this meeting productive and enjoyable for you. So please register as early as possible.

Accommodations

The Adam's Mark Hotel is located at the Waterfront in the heart of the Buffalo downtown business district within walking distance of the Niagara Convention Center, theatre, and major sports complexes. You can get from the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport to the Adam’s Mark Buffalo-Niagara hotel in 15 minutes. Favorite attractions such Niagara Falls and Casino Niagara are only 20 minutes from the hotel. A limited number of rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the prevailing Government Per Diem rate of $92.00 (plus 13.75 % tax) per night.

Reservations should be made before Wednesday March 24, 2010 to ensure receiving the prevailing Government rate. If you have any problem making your reservation, please contact the Office of Education and Outreach at (202) 512-1119 for assistance.

Reservations made after March 24 will be subject to availability and the rate may vary. The Government rate will be honored beginning Tuesday April 20 through Tuesday May 4, 2010.

Parking

• Self parking - $10.00 per day - This does not include in / out privileges and is based upon availability
• Indoor Valet Parking - $15.00 per day – Available 24 hours a day, including in / out privileges

Vendors

GPO will provide a 3’ x 6’ table and two chairs per vendor. It will be the responsibility of the vendor to make arrangements for any additional requirements.
