Written on Wednesday, 15 June 2011

Registration is now open for the Fall 2011 Federal Depository Library Council Meeting and Federal Depository Library Conference (Fall DLC).

At the Spring 2011 DLC Meeting, it was announced that due to budget constraints that the U.S. Government Printing Office would no longer be able to hold DLC meetings in the spring.

As a result, an extra day has been added to the fall DLC schedule. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17th with registration and coffee. It concludes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th.

Hotel Information

A hotel for the Fall DLC has not yet been procured, but will be located in the DC Metro area. Once a location is selected and procured, the information will be announced to the community.

Call for Education Proposals

The Federal depository library community is invited to submit proposals for presentations and education sessions for conference. These can range from introductory to advanced levels on topics related to Federal information librarianship. Submit your suggestion to share your ideas and knowledge; explore new developments; and network with your colleagues.

Presentations can run for 45 or 90 minutes, with a sole presenter or a panel. Audio-visual equipment will be provided. Please send your proposal by Friday, September 16, 2011. You will be notified of proposal acceptance by Friday, September 23, 2011.
