The Federal Depository Library Council (DLC) Meeting and Federal Depository Library Conference will be held again at the Doubletree Hotel, which is located at 300 Army Navy Dr., Arlington, VA 22202.
A limited number of rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the prevailing Government rate at the time of the meeting. The Government rate effective October 1st will be $226 (plus 10.25% tax) per night single and $246.00 (plus 10.25% tax) per night double.
As a reminder, registration is open for the fall meeting and conference. The three day event will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17 with registration and coffee. The DLC meeting will conclude on Wednesday, October 19. Proposals for presentations and educational sessions for the conference are still being accepted through September 16.
Don't forget to join the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) for “Creating Our Shared Vision: Roles and Opportunities in the FDLP” on Thursday, October 20. The day-long event will feature exchanges and discussions on the future of the Federal Depository Library Program.
GPO looks forward to sharing ideas for the future, including roles and models for depository libraries; changes in information policy and the effect on libraries; and reaffirmation of the depository library community’s commitment to ensuring the public has free access to Federal information products and services.
