Have you Registered Yet? Don’t Miss the 2012 DLC Meeting & Conference

There’s still time! Don’t delay! You don’t want to miss a very special 2012 Depository Library Council Meeting & Federal Depository Library Conference (Meeting & Conference). Join us October 15-18, at the DoubleTree in Arlington, VA. The preliminary schedule is now available.

The theme of this year’s Meeting & Conference is, “Celebrating the Past, Building the Future Together.” Get involved and join in the ongoing discussion as we collaborate on the future of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). And join us as we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Depository Library Council to the Public Printer, the 80th Meeting of the Depository Library Council, and the 20th Federal Depository Library Conference!

This free, four-day event will be packed with:

  • Meetings of the Depository Library Council and Council Working Groups on Education, Collaboration, Sustainability, & Technology
  • Extensive information and preliminary results from the FDLP Forecast Study
  • Hands-on training sessions from Federal agencies such as the U.S. Census Bureau, the Office of the Federal Register, and more
  • An array of educational sessions from colleagues in the FDLP community and GPO staff
  • Networking and idea exchange opportunities among your colleagues from around the country
  • FDLP community poster sessions and Federal Government information displays

The Meeting & Conference will also feature a special screening of “Linotype: The Film” for attendees, followed by a reception at the GPO Bookstore with exclusive access to the re-opened GPO history exhibit.

Also at the four-day event, celebrate with GPO as we honor, for the first time, three Federal depository libraries of the year: one regional and two selectives.

And don’t miss your chance to speak with the Acting Public Printer of the United States, Davita Vance-Cooks; Superintendent of Documents, Mary Alice Baish; the new Director of Library Services & Content Management (LSCM), Jane Sánchez; and the staff of LSCM.

Detailed information on the 2012 DLC Meeting & Conference is available on fdlp.gov.
