Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP) Search Option Label Change

The FDLP Desktop serves as a centralized resource for the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP), which disseminates U.S. Government information to the American public through libraries across the nation. Stay up-to-date with the latest innovations and progress of the Program and utilize various tools in order to enhance public services.

Libraries, log in with your institution's number and internal password to access depository-only content (e.g., order promotional materials).

In our continuing efforts to improve the usability of the Catalog of the U.S. Government Publications (CGP), the label for the "URL/PURL" search option in the dropdown box of the Advanced view of the CGP has recently been changed to "Internet Access". This revised label is shown in the column heading “Internet Access" in the CGP Brief View and in the Standard view of a search results list. The Expert Search Codes list on the CGP help page has also been updated to reflect this change.

There will be additional minor changes to the look of the CGP over the next few months in preparation for the pending sunset of GPO Access.
