Changes Made to Electronic Versions of Shipping Lists

As part of security enhancements and data consolidation, changes have been made to the online posting of shipping list files that impact how Federal depository libraries can download shipping lists by file format (.pdf, .dbf, .doc). File naming conventions have not changed (only the locations of the files) and no data has been lost.
The following services have been affected:
All FDLP related data has been moved from the FBB to FDLP.gov. The FBB provided access to shipping lists in .dbf and .doc format (USGS only).
The shipping lists on FDLP.gov are now available in a browseable format for the current fiscal year. Shipping lists for fiscal year 2009 and earlier have been compressed in .zip format and located in the file repository by file type and fiscal year.
Automatic redirects have been set up to route bookmarked requests from the FBB to the FDLP.gov’s shipping list page or file repository, as appropriate.
If you have a need to know immediately when new .dbf versions of shipping lists are available, a temporary email service will send the .dbf versions as attachments as they are released. Shipping lists will be sent in bulk typically on a daily basis.
The Shipping Lister search functionality did not perform reliably. The application has been replaced with a browseable list of shipping lists in multiple formats. The browseable list is available for the current fiscal year. Shipping lists for fiscal year 2009 and earlier have been compressed in .zip format and are located in the file repository by fiscal year.
We apologize for the inconvenience that these sudden changes may have caused.
We are committed to providing secure and efficient Web solutions for the depository library community. We want to know how you used the shipping list files, what types of Web solutions you would like to see implemented, or hear what ideas you have that would help us improve our services. Based on the feedback received, new features may be introduced and the search functionality recoded/restored.
